Dashawn Spears only needed nine snaps to outshine the rest of the league.
The sophomore safety was named SEC Defensive Player of the Week on Monday for his two-interception performance against Florida.

Spears picked DJ Lagway off midway through the first quarter for his first career interception. He gave LSU complete control of the game in the third quarter with a 58-yard pick six that put the Tigers up 10 points.
Spears, a Denham Springs product, was used in LSU’s dime package as an extra defensive back alongside starting safeties Tamarcus Cooley and A.J. Haulcy, both of whom had an interception of their own on Saturday.
