METAIRIE, La. – The New Orleans Saints announced a quartet of roster moves Wednesday afternoon, signalling some more concerns along the offensive line.
The Saints have placed defensive tackle Vernon Broughton on Injured Reserve following his hip injury, which is expected to be season-ending. To fill that open active roster spot, safety Terrell Burgess was added from the practice squad.
New Orleans also announced the addition of two offensive linemen to the practice squad. Tackle Sataoa Laumea and guard William Sherman were both added.

With offensive linemen Trevor Penning and Taliese Fuaga each managing injury and more potential recoveries underway, these signings seem to indicate there would be some situations developing. It’s something to keep an eye out on over the week.
Laumea and Sherman are both former sixth round picks from 2024 and 2021 respectively. Laumea was with the Seattle Seahawks, who the Saints face this weekend, while Sherman spent time with the New England Patriots and Denver Broncos before making his way to the Big Easy.
