With three weeks of the 2025 college football season under our belts, let’s take a look at the latest awards odds and see how they compare against the preseason projections as there have been a ton of changes.

Davey O’Brien, Doak Walker and Fred Biletnikoff odds were initially sent out in mid-July. Here are some notable movements via SportsBetting.ag:

O’Brien:

  • Jayden Maiava (USC) is now the favorite after starting with 45/1 odds
  • Arch Manning (Texas) went from a 4/1 favorite to 20/1 odds
  • Garrett Nussmeier (LSU) has slipped from 5/1 to 16/1
  • Cade Klubnik (Clemson), who was third on the initial list at 6/1, is now 60/1
  • John Mateer (Oklahoma) went from 22/1 to 9/1
  • Sawyer Robertson (Baylor) went from 45/1 to 10/1
  • Behren Morton (Texas Tech) went from 200/1 to 12/1

Walker:

  • Jeremiyah Love (Notre Dame) went from a 3/1 favorite to 25/1
  • Desmond Reid (Pittsburgh) went from the thirdbest odds (9/1) to 75/1
  • Ahmad Hardy (Missouri) is now the favorite, going from 28/1 to 4/1
  • Justice Haynes (Michigan) is now second, going from 80/1 to 5/1
  • Kewan Lacy (Ole Miss) went from no odds to 8/1
  • Jonah Coleman (Washington) went from 80/1 to 9/1

Biletnikoff:

  • Jeremiah Smith (Ohio State) has gone from a 3/1 favorite to 2/1
  • Ryan Williams (Alabama) went from 5/1 to 18/1
  • Makai Lemon (USC) went from 28/1 to 8/1
  • Chris Brazzell II (Tennessee) went from 70/1 to 10/1
  • Mario Craver (Texas A&M) went from no odds to 12/1

Clearly, the Doak Walker award has been the most volatile when you look at all the players at the top of the board who largely longshots during the preseason.
