METAIRIE, La. – The New Orleans Saints have kicked off their Week 3 of practices, with a trio of either starting or depth offensive lineman not present.
Here who was not seen at the open portion of Saints practice:
Starting left guard Trevor Penning was back at practice, though he appeared to be limited in his participation. Seeing Penning back in with even the slightest amount of action is a major positive development for New Orleans.
The Saints’ two new signees, tackle Sataoa Laumea and guard William Sherman were both present after being signed Wednesday afternoon.
The additions of Laumea and Spencer seem to indicate that the Saints may be down more than one offensive linemen this week against the Seattle Seahawks. However, that could prove to not be the case by the end of the week. Fuaga has been nursing a knee injury that could have led to him simply having Wednesday off, much like previous offensive linemen Terron Armstead and Ryan Ramczyk.
