For years it’s been a foregone conclusion that Patrick Mahomes is the best quarterback in the National Football League.
Even the most Chiefs-loathing fans couldn’t come up with a good argument to prove that Mahomes wasn’t the best quarterback on the planet.
Two weeks into the 2025 season, we’ve got a healthy and deserving debate as to who is currently the league’s best quarterback.
According to geotagged X data over the last 30 days, Josh Allen has been crowned the new king of QBs.
The study, generated by the creative marketing folks at BetOnline.ag, tracked tweets, hashtags and direct keyword phrases about which quarterback is currently the best in the NFL.
For example, the data included tweets such as “Josh Allen is the best QB in the league,” “Mahomes is still the best quarterback in the NFL,” “Lamar Jackson is the top QB,” “Josh Allen is the best QB right now” and more. Over 60,000 tweets were tracked in total.
