College Gameday continues to thrive on Saturday mornings every Fall. Part of that is the charm and hysterical banter from a duo that no one saw coming – Pat McAfee and Nick Saban.
On Saturday, former LSU head coach Nick Saban interviewed interim Michigan head coach Biff Poggi about their game against Nebraska. During the interview Nick Saban jokingly told Poggi, “When you were at Saint Frances, I never saw you coach a down… You were Jerry Jones. You paid the players and all that… Are you using the same philosophy at Michigan now?”
Without hesitation, Poggi responded with a dagger.
“Yeah, and I learned all that from you.”

This is not the first time a guest has made a reference to Saban paying players. It did seem way more friendly than when Shane Gillis did it though.
