Here are your Week 4 SEC power rankings, based strictly on what teams have shown on the field so far this season. There were some big changes from last week.
The Bottom Six
16. Kentucky
15. Florida
14. Arkansas
13. South Carolina
12. Mississippi State
11. Texas
The Top Ten
-
Alabama
Alabama drops a spot during the bye week. That may seem harsh, but it could be worse considering they dropped three spots in the AP Poll without playing a game. Alabama has looked better in their last two games, and it appears that Florida State is actually very good. However, we won’t know who Alabama is until this weekend in Athens.
-
Auburn
Auburn had the most picturesque Auburn loss imaginable on Saturday. They gave up ten sacks, missed several open touchdowns just out of the reach of Cam Coleman and got absolutely hosed by SEC officiating on more than one occasion. You could easily make the case that they should be higher. However, allowing ten sacks and inventing new ways to lose is a tough sell.
NEW: SEC officiating has released a statement admitting they missed an unsportsmanlike penalty leading to a touchdown😬

Ole Miss
Ole Miss looked like a world beater on Saturday. Trinidad Chambliss looks like he’s the answer at quarterback, and Pete Golding’s defense dominated a strong Tulane squad that entered the game unbeaten and already boasting multiple victories over Power Four opponents.
-
Texas A&M
It was a bye week for Texas A&M, but that didn’t make us forget that huge win in South Bend against Notre Dame.
-
Missouri
Missouri is a strong team, but their secondary has plenty of question marks. South Carolina played poorly in that matchup and still had a shot to win. That said, Missouri completely controlled the ground game, and Ahmad Hardy has played well enough to earn his way into some far-too-early Heisman conversations.

Tennessee
Tennessee beat UAB so badly that even Trent Dilfer was in awe.

Vanderbilt
Vanderbilt is 4-0 and just scored 70 points for the first time in 107 years. After this week, the schedule toughens up, but they’ll head to Tuscaloosa unbeaten, and there’s a real chance they’re still perfect when LSU comes to town.
Highest-graded offenses through four weeks:
1) Washington, 99.2
2) Florida State, 96.0
3) Vanderbilt, 94.4
4) USC, 93.1
5) Arkansas, 91.9
6) Indiana, 91.3
7) Oregon, 90.8
8) Alabama, 90.7
9) TCU, 90.1
10) Missouri, 89.8
11) Tennessee, 87.9
12) Ohio State, 87.7 pic.twitter.com/cXbrSk75B5— Cam Mellor (@CamMellor) September 22, 2025

LSU
The offense finally found its rhythm, while the defense keeps overwhelming opponents. Now comes a real test in Oxford, where they’ve dropped three straight. Also, raise your hand if you would’ve thought that a backup transfer from Ferris State would be the best quarterback LSU would face in the month of September.

Oklahoma
John Mateer was mortal against Auburn, and he still put up a million yards. He was also clutch when the Sooners needed it most in a gutsy win at home against a good team. Mateer may have an off game here or there, or maybe not. Either way, that defense is strong enough to cover for it. They recorded a program record ten sacks against the best offensive line Auburn’s had in 15 years, and they did so without their best pass rusher who was out for half the game.

Georgia
Georgia had a bye week, but they get Alabama at home this weekend. This is a massive game for Kirby Smart to get the monkey off his back and exercise some demons that have tortured this program, and its fans, for almost two decades. Big Picks Energy won’t come out until Thursday, but lock of the week is Georgia -3. Hammer it.
