Running back Caden Durham’s status for LSU’s trip to Ole Miss this weekend is up in the air.
“I think we’re going to list him as questionable today, and then we’ll see how he progresses through practice every day,” said LSU head coach Brian Kelly on the SEC teleconference. “He could go from questionable to out or questionable to probable depending on how he goes through the remainder of practices, and we won’t make those assessments until we see the full body of work through practice.”
LSU is required by the league to submit an injury report Wednesday, Thursday and Friday leading up to conference games. The first will come later tonight.
Durham, who suffered an ankle injury on Saturday night, led LSU in rushing a season ago and has started all four games for the Tigers this season. Ole Miss has been the worst team in the SEC against the run through a month.
LSU will lean on sophomore Ju’Juan Johnson, junior Kaleb Jackson and freshman Harlem Berry at tailback should Durham miss Saturday’s game or be limited in his action.
