The New Orleans Saints are preparing to take on their former head coach in Chicago Bears defensive coordinator Dennis Allen. But before they get there, the practice week is going to be one to watch as the Saints are managing the injury of one of their top players.
Here is the Saints’ information from the injury report.
New Orleans Saints
Did Not Participate
- CB Isaac Yiadom (hamstring)
- RB Alvin Kamara (ankle)
Limited Participation
- CB Alontae Taylor (knee)
- WR Chris Olave (ankle)
Full Participation
- DT John Ridgeway III (shoulder)
Kamara is still navigating the ankle injury that landed him a questionable designation going into the Week 6 matchup with the New England Patriots. Saints head coach Kellen Moore said that there has been no setback with the injury, just that the team is being careful and managing it to make sure that it doesn’t get worse.
Meanwhile, Taylor and Olave are concerning names to see listed, though they were just limited. They’ll be names to watch as the week continues.
Yiadom’s continued absence could mean a second consecutive start for rookie cornerback Quincy Riley. He and fellow corners Taylor and Kool-Aid McKinstry are set to see a considerable challenge in Chicago against its talented wide receiver corps of Rome Odunze, D.J. Moore and Luther Burden III.
Chicago Bears
Did Not Participate
- OL Jonah Jackson (ankle)
- DL Grady Jarrett (knee)
- WR D.J. Moore (hip/groin)
- K Cairo Santos (right thigh)
- LB Noah Sewell (concussion)
Full Participation
- DL Austin Booker (knee)
- RB Travis Homer (calf)
The Bears’ injury report is estimated as they did a walkthrough following the Monday night game on a short week. Thursday will provide a much more holistic look at the Chicago injury situation with Moore being the most intriguing name to watch.
