METAIRIE, La. – Everyone can take a deep breath, New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara was back at practice on Thursday.
Over the last few weeks, the news around the Saints’ practice days have been less about losing talent to injury and more about seeing talent return from injury. That trend continued on Thursday.
There was only one player not seen at practice, in what has become an expected rest day for a defensive veteran.
Defensive tackle Davon Godchaux was the only player not spotted during the open window of practice.
Thursdays are usually red zone days for the Saints. It has recently become a day that Godchaux, who has been on the field for just five of the defense’s 14 red zone snaps over the last two weeks, appears to be getting a day to rest.
Kamara and cornerback Isaac Yiadom were both back and participating. As were corner Alontae Taylor and wide receiver Chris Olave, both of whom were limited on Wednesday with injuries.
