METAIRIE, La. – The New Orleans Saints are making news now because of returns to practice rather than those missing from it. That’s an important upward trajectory for the team as they get ready to travel to Chicago to take on the Bears.
Here is the information from the Saints and Bears injury report.
New Orleans Saints
Limited Participation
- CB Isaac Yiadom (hamstring)
- RB Alvin Kamara (ankle)
Full Participation
- CB Alontae Taylor (knee)
- WR Chris Olave (ankle)
- DT John Ridgeway III (shoulder)
The Saints saw their star running back return to practice on Thursday. He also spoke to the media, which is typically a positive sign when it comes to health and availability.
The team also saw starting cornerback Yiadom back, but we will have to wait until game day to see whether or not he will reclaim his starting role over rookie corner Quincy Riley.
Along with their returns, Olave and Taylor were both upgraded from limited to full with their injuries.
Chicago Bears
Did Not Participate
- DL Grady Jarrett (knee)
- K Cairo Santos (right thigh)
- LB Noah Sewell (concussion)
Limited Participation
- WR DJ Moore (hip/groin)
- LB Amen Ogbongbemiga (knee)
- RB D’Andre Swift (groin)
Full Participation
- OL Jonah Jackson (ankle)
- DL Austin Booker (knee)
- RB Travis Homer (calf)
After an estimated injury report on Wednesday, this information is a bit more solid. One big name to watch here will be Swift. The running back topped 100 rushing yards last week and will look to build on it against the Saints’ up and down rushing defense. But a groin injury isn’t a comfortable one to manage as a rusher. This will be a big name to watch on Friday.
Meanwhile, Moore, one of the team’s talent trio of wideouts, was elevated from a non-participation designation to limited.
