LSU”s loaded 2027 recruiting got an early October boost.
Flame-throwing right-hander Samir Foster from Tampa, Florida, pledged to the Tigers.
In addition to his 97 mph fastball, Foster features a devastating changeup to keep hitters off balance. He’s 6-foot-3 and a sturdy 240 lbs. as a high school junior.
Samir Mohammed is an ultra-physical workhorse.
The @LSUbaseball commit got the ball in the first game for USA Prime 17U National and punched out six batters across five innings.

Perfect Game calls Foster the No. 14 ranked player in the country for the Class of 2027 which makes him a considerable draft risk two summers from now.
Those are the types of players Jay Johnson and his staff continue to recruit and sign.
LSU’s 2027 class now boasts 15 commitments including five in Perfect Game’s top 40.
