METAIRIE, La. – It was very likely a full attendance practice day for the New Orleans Saints on Friday. The team appears to be as healthy as it can be going into their Week 7 bout with the Chicago Bears on Sunday. Only one player was not spotted during the opening portion of practice, and more than likely he was just working elsewhere with his group.
The only player not seen during Friday’s practice was long snapper Zach Wood. Wood has managed injury this season, but with both kickers and punter Kai Kroeger all eventually headed to another area for practice, it’s likely that Wood just escapes eyeshot first.
Running back Alvin Kamara and cornerback Isaac Yiadom, both of whom were absent on Wednesday, each returned to practice on Thursday and were again present for the final practice of the week.
Defensive tackle John Ridgeway III also continues to work his way back from Injured Reserve with a pectoral injury. However, the Saints do not have to make a decision with him until Wednesday, as the 21-day practice window extends from the day he was activated and returned to practice, rather than game weeks.
Wide receiver Chris Olave and cornerback Alontae Taylor were also present again after being elevated to full on Thursday.
The Saints may be at their healthiest all season headed up to the Windy City.
