This morning during ESPN’s College Gameday, a report began circulating that Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian would be interested in a potential move to the NFL.
Diana Russini, who primarily covers the NFL tweeted the following this morning.
“I’m told that representatives for Texas coach Steve Sarkisian have let NFL decision-makers know that he would be interested in potential head-coaching openings, including the Titans.”
The news went everywhere and did so just hours before the Longhorns were set to play Mississippi State in Starkville. A few hours later, a statement was released denying the reports and calling them “patently false.”
Here was the statement from CAA, Jimmy Sexton, and Ed Marynowitz who represent Sarkisian.
