METAIRIE, La. – Things appeared status quo for the New Orleans Saints on Wednesday as they returned to practice with a new starting quarterback in tow. Running back Alvin Kamara, who was limited throughout last week’s practices, was seen during the stretching period, but then left as individual drills began.
The only player that was not seen at all during the practice was practice squad defensive tackle Coziah Izzard.
Seemingly in Izzard’s place on the practice squad was the appearance of new running back Evan Hull.
The former 2023 sixth-round selection out of Northwestern is a 5-foot-10, 209-pound rusher with a 4.47-second 40-yard-dash as he entered the NFL. He effectively takes the place of former Saints running back Velus Jones Jr. who was signed by the Seattle Seahawks earlier in the week.
Outside of Izzard and the early departure of Kamara, the team had full attendance across its active roster.
