This has been an insane college football season mainly because of all the coach firings.
Every school must feel like they have zero leverage because if a name gets mentioned in association with another school (see Matt Rhule) and more often than not they’re getting a raise or an extension.
It really doesn’t even matter how successful they are (again, see Matt Rhule).
Another week, another firing. This time it’s Hugh Freeze of Auburn.
The oddsmakers at BetOnline.ag have opened lines for the next Auburn coach along with updating the lines to some of the other openings.
- Arkansas: Rhett Lashlee is no longer the favorite. It’s not James Franklin.
- Florida: Eli Drinkwitz remains the favorite
- LSU: Joe Brady has slightly surpassed Jon Sumrall as the favorite
- Okie State: Zac Robinson has remained a steady favorite
- Penn State: Brian Hartline, who wasn’t even on the list before is the new favorite and a heavy one at that.
