Just five SEC vs. SEC games are on tap this weekend, and Ole Miss is starting “cupcake week” early with a matchup against The Citadel. Here are the key numbers to know for all six games.
LSU at Alabama
76: Alabama’s red zone touchdown efficiency is 76% on the season (32 of 41 trips). That ranks third in the SEC and eighth in all of FBS.
59: LSU ranks 91st nationally in touchdown red zone percentage at 59% (17-for-28).
95: Alabama ranks 95th or worse in both rushing yards per carry (3.6, 116th) and yards per carry allowed (4.5, 95th).
10.6: LSU averages 10.6 ppg in the 1st half of games this year. That ranks last in the SEC. Alabama ranks eighth at 20.3 ppg.
5: Alabama has five turnovers this season, which ranks third fewest of any team in the country and leads all Power 4 teams.
47.4: LSU is averaging 47.4 yards per punt, which ranks seventh nationally.
59.4: Alabama ranks 12th nationally in opponent’s number of plays per game at 59.4. LSU ranks 109th with 63.6 plays per game offensively.
Georgia at Mississippi State
2: Only two percent of total money wagered on this game has been placed on Georgia.
7-1: Mississippi State is 8-1 against the spread this season. That’s tied for first in the country along with Memphis and Texas Tech.
33:00: Both Georgia’s offense and Mississippi State’s defense average being on the field for over 33 minutes per game. Georgia ranks fourth nationally in time of possession at 34:33 per game. Mississippi State’s defense ranks 129th nationally at 33:13.
10: Mississippi State ranks top ten nationally in first quarter scoring defense versus FBS teams at 9.56 ppg.
Citadel at Ole Miss
54.5: Ole Miss is favored by 54.5 points, which is the highest point spread in any SEC game this season.
Texas A&M at Missouri
7.1: Missouri ranks fifth in Power 4 and first in the SEC in second half scoring defense allowing 7.1 ppg.
Auburn at Vanderbilt
2-7: The over is 2-7 in Auburn’s nine games this season. That’s tied for the worst of any Power 4 team in America.
.500: The all-time series history between Auburn and Vanderbilt is tied 22-22-1. Auburn is one of two teams in the entire SEC that Vanderbilt has a .500 record or better against. The other is Texas who they are 8-5-1 all-time against.
19: Vanderbilt averages 19 second half ppg. That leads the SEC and is fourth in the Power 4.
Florida at Kentucky
4: Kentucky has just four wins against Florida in the last 38 years. Three of those four have come in the last four seasons.
1-6-1: Florida is 1-6-1 in their last 8 games against Kentucky.
5-1: Both Florida and Kentucky are each 5-1 against the spread in their last six games in November.
103: Each of these teams rank 103rd or worse in FBS in scoring offense. Kentucky ranks 103rd at 22.4 ppg and Florida ranks 108th at 22.1 ppg.
6.7: Florida ranks 128th in FBS in second half scoring with 6.7 ppg.
