METAIRIE, La. – Returning to the field for their second practice of the week, the New Orleans Saints continue to field the majority of their 53-man roster and 17-man practice squad.
Only two players were not seen during Thursday’s practice ahead of the Saints’ matchup with the 5-4 Carolina Panthers.
- RT Taliese Fuaga (ankle)
- DT Davon Godchaux
Fuaga is nursing the ankle injury that he suffered last weekend against the Los Angeles Rams. He is considered week-to-week. Head coach Kellen Moore said on Monday that it would be “tough” for him and tight end Jack Stoll, who was limited with his own ankle injury on Wednesday, to be ready to go for this week’s game. He did not, however, rule them out yet.
Godchaux, for whom Thursday is usually a rest day, was not seen. But that’s not a surprise with the rhythm of the season’s practices throughout the season.
Stoll was soon stretching and watching along from the side. A limited designation appears likely for him again on Thursday.
Everyone else that was listed on Wednesday’s injury report, including running back Alvin Kamara (ankle), was seen participating during the portion of practice that was open to the media. The injury report with updated practice participation levels will be released this afternoon.
