At 2-8, the New Orleans Saints are well on their way to miss the postseason for the fifth consecutive year. But that doesn’t mean that they can’t close the season out with promise and optimism for their fanbase.
With seven games remaining, the Saints have a chance to finish out the season strong against weak opponents. New Orleans ranks last in the league in strength of schedule remaining. The final clubs the Saints will face have a combined win percentage of just 34.7% at this time, giving New Orleans the easiest remaining schedule.
Here are our game-by-game predictions for the Saints’ closing stretch of the year as head coach Kellen Moore and rookie quarterback Tyler Shough look to build on their momentum out of the bye week.
- Week 12 vs. Atlanta Falcons: Win
- Week 13 at Miami Dolphins: Loss
- Week 14 at Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Loss
- Week 15 vs. Carolina Panthers: Loss
- Week 16 vs. New York Jets: Win
- Week 17 at Tennessee Titans: Win
- Week 18 at Atlanta Falcons : Loss
We’re predicting the Saints to finish 3-4 over the final seven games, finishing the season 5-12.
