On the field after his Ole Miss team dismantled Mississippi State, 38-19, to win the Egg Bowl, Lane Kiffin was still undecided about his future.
When asked by ESPN’s Taylor McGregor in the postgame interview if he had made up his mind about next season, Kiffin said, “No, I haven’t. I’ve got a lot of praying to do to figure that out tomorrow.”

According to multiple reports Friday, Kiffin will be choosing between staying at Ole Miss and leaving for LSU. Florida is no longer in the mix to lure Kiffin away from Oxford.
Sources: Florida does not expect to land Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin and is closing in on other targets.
In recent days, sources said Kiffin’s erratic communication and behavior has led UF to think he may be more interested in his other options.

Last week, Ole Miss athletic director Keith Carter said via statement that Kiffin would make a decision about his future the Saturday after the Egg Bowl.
Florida has reportedly shifted its focus to Tulane coach Jon Sumrall, who will make a decision as to whether or not he will stay with the Green Wave Sunday.

As for LSU, their “all in” approach with Kiffin could leave them vulnerable if the Rebels’ coach decides to stay put. Sources told LouisianaSports.net that Eli Drinkwitz had been LSU’s backup option, but the Missouri coach agreed to a contract extension with the school on Thanksgiving.
Sumrall would likely be the next target for the LSU search, but he might be off the board by the time Kiffin makes a decision.
Arizona State coach Kenny Dillingham is reportedly a person of interest while promoting LSU defensive coordinator Blake Baker would also be a consideration, multiple sources have told LouisianaSports.net.
LSU wraps up the regular season Saturday at No. 8 Oklahoma.
