Brown, a dynamic defensive lineman from University Lab, committed to LSU back on July 10. He’s held firm with that commitment but expressed interest in taking the week to meet with Lane Kiffin and his staff to get a feel for what the future looks like at LSU. Brown met with Kiffin on Sunday when the head coach landed in Baton Rouge for the first time. Those talks have continued.
ESPN ranks the 6-foot-4, 285 lber., the best player in the class. On3 and 247sports rank him in their top fives. Texas A&M and Miami were thought to be LSU’s chief competition for Brown, but ultimately, he chose to stay home.
With Brown’s signature, Kiffin has signed four of the top five players in Louisiana and five of the top seven. That includes Brown and fellow five star Richard Anderson who inked with the Tigers on Thursday.
