LSU is headed back to Houston for the second consecutive postseason.
The Tigers will face Houston in the Kinder’s Texas Bowl on Saturday, Dec. 27 at NRG Stadium. LSU beat Baylor 44-31 in last year’s Texas Bowl.

Lane Kiffin announced during his introductory press conference that interim head coach Frank Wilson would continue coaching the team in the bowl game. Wilson replaced Brian Kelly and has led the Tigers to a 2-2 record in his interim stint.
Houston (9-3, 6-3 Big 12) is coached by former Tulane coach Willie Fritz who is in his second season with the Cougars. Former Texas A&M quarterback Conner Weigman leads the Cougars offense.
The Tigers and Cougars are scheduled to open the 2027 season in a non-conference matchup in Houston.
