Junior cornerback Ashton Stamps will enter the transfer portal when it opens next month, he announced Monday on his social media.

Stamps, a 6-foot, 190 pound junior from New Orleans found himself relegated to a backup role in 2025, playing in only three games. Transfer Mansoor Delane and freshman DJ Pickett commanded larger roles in Corey Raymond’s secondary.
After playing in 11 games as a freshman with four starts, Stamps led the SEC with 14 pass breakups as a sophomore in 2024. He will have two years of eligibility remaining.
LSU will return Pickett and PJ Woodland in 2026. Florida transfer Ja’Keem Jackson should also return along with a host of younger players. The Tigers also signed Top 100 cornerback Havon Finney for the 2026 class.
