Delane was elite in coverage all season long, allowing just 38 percent of passes his way to be completed and pulling down two interceptions with 10 passes broken up. Teams avoided the future first-rounder frequently, but when they attacked, he stood tall.
The Virginia Tech transfer only allowed two first downs all season and was never beaten for a touchdown.
Interim Head Coach Frank Wilson said Tuesday that Delane would not be available for the Texas Bowl bringing his LSU career to a close after 12 games.
