NEW ORLEANS, La. – The New Orleans Saints have announced their list of inactive players for Sunday’s Week 14 matchup with the Carolina Panthers.
Among those on the list, safety Justin Reid, who was listed as questionable coming into the game, is the highlight. Reid will be inactive for the second consecutive week after suffering a knee injury against the Miami Dolphins in Week 13.
Here is the list of inactive players for the Saints as they host the Panthers:
- S Justin Reid (knee)
- CB Rejzohn Wright
- RB Alvin Kamara (knee/ankle)
- T Asim Richards (ankle)
- TE Zaire Mitchell-Paden
- DT John Ridgeway III
- DT Khristian Boyd
With Reid unavailable Amadi is again active. The Saints will still have four active safeties without Reid. Rookie Jonas Sanker will continue to start while Jordan Howden and Terrell Burgess will continue to rotate in Reid’s spot with Howden leading the way. Safety Ugo Amadi will again be active in Reid’s place to both depth and special teams contributions.
Starting right tackle Taliese Fuaga is back after missing recent games with ankle injuries. That should be a big positive for New Orleans and rookie quarterback Tyler Shough as the team takes on the NFL’s No. 32 pass rush in pressure percentage (27.7%) and No. 31 team in sacks (18).
New Orleans will again be without Kamara, who was previously ruled out in the week’s final injury report. Rookie running back Devin Neal will again lead the charge at the position on his stead. Saints’ rookies continue to see their opportunities expand in the final weeks of the season.
New Orleans elevated wide receiver Kevin Austin Jr. and kicker Charlie Smyth on Saturday. Both will also be available for the Saints.
