Frank Wilson will put LSU through a workout late Wednesday morning at the Charles McClendon Practice Facility before the team departs for their Texas Bowl date with Houston.
The LSU travel party is scheduled to arrive at the team hotel at 4:40 on Christmas Eve with a Texas Bowl welcome party that night.
The team will hold a closed practice in the afternoon Christmas Day at Rice and will have a team dinner that evening. Friday’s practice will be held at NRG Stadium with 15 minutes of media viewing available.
The Tigers had the weekend off before returning for workouts and film study on Monday. The team practiced Tuesday with a host of boosters and other dignitaries invited to observe. Several high school football coaches were also in attendance including Brice Brown of Edna Karr, JT Curtis of John Curtis and U-High head coach Andy Martin.
Members of the LSU staff who are working with Ole Miss through their College Football Playoff run returned to Oxford Tuesday to spend Christmas with their families with the Rebels’ preparation for the quarterfinal matchup with No. 3 Georgia resuming Friday.
LSU (7-5) will play N0. 21 Houston (9-3) Saturday at NRG Stadium at 8:15 p.m. with the game televised on ESPN and heard in Baton Rouge on Eagle 98.1 FM.
