METAIRIE, La. – Both the New Orleans Saints and Tennessee Titans were away from the practice field on Christmas Day. However, both teams released an updated Thursday injury report, estimating what participation would have looked like had each team practiced.
Here is the information from Thursday’s injury report:
New Orleans Saints
Did Not Participate
- DT Bryan Bresee (knee)
- RB Alvin Kamara (knee/ankle)
- TE Zaire Mitchell-Paden (knee)
- TE Foster Moreau (ankle)
- G Cesar Ruiz (ankle)
Limited Participation
- DT Nathan Shepherd (ankle/knee)
- WR Mason Tipton (groin)
Full Participation
- DT Davon Godchaux (NIR – rest)
- WR Chris Olave (back)
- T Asim Richards (ankle)
- QB Tyler Shough (hip)
No big changes estimated for New Orleans, including the continued absence of Kamara. The back appears lined up to miss his fifth consecutive game.
The only shift the team accounted for was the upgrade for defensive tackle Davon Godchaux. The former LSU Tiger had his typical Thursday rest day on Wednesday having already participated on Wednesday. He will be back on the field Friday as usual.
The most notable names to watch going into Friday’s practice will be that of Tipton and Ruiz. If Tipton upgrades to full, it’ll be good news for rookie quarterback Tyler Shough to not lose another members of the offensive attack. Ruiz would be boost ont he offensive line, but seems a long shot to make it back in time for Sunday’s matchup.
Tennessee Titans
Did Not Participate
- CB Marcus Harris (knee)
Limited Participation
- CB Jalyn Armour-Davis (Achilles)
- TE Gunnar Helm (toe)
- DE Sebastian Joseph-Day (calf)
- G Kevin Zeitler (groin)
Full Participation
- RB Julius Chestnut (back)
- LB Cedric Gray (concussion)
21-Day Practice Window – Limited Participation
- OLB Oluwafemi Oladejo* (fibula)
21-Day Practice Window – Full Participation
- OLB Ali Gaye (knee)
- WR Bryce Oliver (knee)
There were not changes for the Titans. The key name to watch for them on Friday remains Helm. He’s the team’s third-leading receiver in receiving yards and has been an important contributor to the offense.
