Aman Anand won’t be going far.
The LSU special teams coordinator won’t return under Lane Kiffin, but we will be staying in Baton Rouge. Anand is expected to be named the new special teams coordinator at Southern University under new head coach Marshall Faulk, sources have confirmed to LouisianaSports.net.
Anand spent just one season at LSU under former coach Brian Kelly. Prior to that, he spent two seasons in the SWAC at Grambling in 2024 and Texas Southern in 2023. He spent three seasons on Dave Aranda’s Baylor staff from 2020-2022.
In a coaching career that began in 2011, Anand has spent time at Old Dominion, South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, Northern Arizona, Utah State, Memphis and Penn State.
Last week, LSU announced Joe Houston would be joining Kiffin’s staff as special teams coordinator.
Faulk has also hired former LSU defensive lineman Bennie Logan and Ben Miles, son of former LSU coach Les Miles, as assistants on his staff.
