A week from today, some coaches will be out of a job.
That’s just the way it goes annually on Black Monday in the National Football League.
On the bright side, positions will open up, so hopefully the soon-to-be unemployed coaches won’t be out of a job long.
The oddsmakers at SportsBetting.ag have put together a host of props for job security not only on Black Monday, but until the Super Bowl.
Prop topics include how many coaches will be fired between Black Monday and Super Bowl LX, whether or not any first-year coaches will be fired (first year with team) and if a coach to reach the playoffs will be fired.
Additionally, the “next coach” odds for the Giants and Titans have been updated.
Marcus Freeman is no longer the favorite for New York’s vacancy as Jeff Hafley has moved into the top spot. Hafley’s odds were as high as 18/1 on November 27.
Matt Nagy is back in the driver’s seat for the Titans. The Chiefs OC opened as the favorite, but jumped to as high as 9/1 on December 15.
