Tre Guerra on X
By Hunt Palmer
While LSU hosts and courts high profile quarterbacks from the power conferences, work is also being done to add depth at the position.
Tyler Junior College signal caller Tre Guerra tweeted Thursday that he’s been offered by Lane Kiffin’s staff. The 247sports JUCO rankings dub Guerra the No. 2 quarterback in the class. He was named a second team NJCAA All-American.

Over two seasons a Tyler JC, Guerra has thrown for 3.810 yards and 29 touchdowns with 16 interceptions. Fourteen of those came this past season. He’s 6-foot-2 and nearing 200 pounds.
According to his X feed, Guerra has received offered from Texas Tech, Kentucky, Arkansas and Florida State this week.
Kiffin’s staff is still trying to reel in the big fish, but another pair of quarterbacks will have to be added. Trinidad Chambliss emerged from Division II to take the College Football Playoff by storm. A repeat of that is wildly unlikely, but it is a feather in Kiffin and offensive coordinator Charlie Weis’s cap to identify an SEC skillset at a lower level.
