Sunday is expected to be a busy day with weekend visits from the portal coming to an end. Here’s a quick update of the latest we’re hearing after Saturday night.
LSU Making a Move at Quarterback
The pool of quarterbacks is drying up quickly. One of the names that was brought up earlier in the week was former five-star quarterback Husan Longstreet. Longstreet was the No. 21 overall ranked recruit in the country out of high school in the 2025 cycle. He originally committed to Texas A&M but would later flip his commitment and sign with Southern Cal.
He entered the portal earlier this week and was a later add to the visitor’s list. He was at Stab’s in Baton Rouge with a “no contact” tag in front of him. It will be interesting to see what happens with his visit in Baton Rouge and where he goes next, if anywhere.

Georgia Tech Gator Jackets
When Florida hired Jon Sumrall as their new head coach, one of the first things he did was make a splash at offensive coordinator with Buster Faulkner from Georgia Tech. Faulkner immediately brought a quarterback with him in Aaron Philo. Since then four more former Yellow Jackets have committed or signed with Florida. The big one happened yesterday, as former Yellow Jacket and Auburn wide receiver Eric Singleton Jr. signed with the Gators.
Singleton was a top five player in last year’s portal cycle which earned him a $1 million contract at Auburn. In this year’s cycle he’s ranked the No. 7 wide receiver and No. 36 player overall according to On3.

Kentucky Soaring
If you were wondering why Oregon’s offense looked so bad in the Peach Bowl maybe it was because offensive coordinator, and new Kentucky head coach, Will Stein was focused on the transfer portal.
Kentucky picked up two defensive commitments late Saturday night. The first was former Mississippi State safety Cyrus Reyes and the second was former Texas linebacker Elijah Barnes. Barnes is the No. 5 ranked linebacker in the cycle and a top 100 player overall.
Kentucky has now brought in 17 players. That includes 13 players from Power 4 schools and nine of the 17 coming from SEC schools. They now have the No. 4 ranked class in the country according to 247Sports.
