Longstreet was a five-star prospect and a top five quarterback in the 2025 class when he inked with the Trojans. Initially, the 6-foot-1 Corona, Calif., native committed to Texas A&M before ending up with Lincoln Riley.
He played in four games as a freshman, completing 13-of-15 throws for 103 yards and a touchdown without an interception. He also carried 11 times for 76 yards and two touchdowns.
Longstreet can use 2025 as a redshirt year, so he has four remaining. Leavitt has two more years remaining.
A dire need for LSU has been addressed swiftly and impressively as LSU now enters spring ball with three scholarship quarterbacks as well as walk-on Emile Picarella who was a three star prospect who picked LSU over lower level scholarship offers.
