LSU continued adding depth to the 2026 roster Thursday when Baylor athlete Mason Dossett committed to the Tigers via the transfer portal. His father confirmed the news to LouisianaSports.net.
Dossett played safety as a freshman in 2024 before making the switch to wide receiver this season. He saw action in just two games for the Bears. He is expected to play safety at LSU.
A two-sport athlete at Baylor, Dossett also ran the hurdles for the Bears’ track program.
Dossett’s father, Martin, played wide receiver at Baylor from 1997-2000 and had a short professional career. His younger brother, Bryson Dossett, is a 2027 safety with offers from Baylor, Texas A&M, Oklahoma State, Kansas State, Illinois, UTEP, Rice and Houston.
LSU added Boise State safety Ty Benefield, who is expected to be a major contributor.
