It was a stellar year for New Orleans Saints wide receiver Chris Olave. Not only did he put himself in great position to land a long-term extension this offseason, but he did so with career bests, a major postseason acknowledgement and cashed in for many fantasy football managers in the process.
As he was piling on career-highs in targets, receptions, receiving yards and touchdown catches, Olave turned his WR35 average fantasy draft ranking in PPR leagues into WR6 production, per Next Gen Stats.
He saw 156 targets, 100 receptions, 1,163 receiving yards and nine receiving touchdowns, scoring the second-most PPR points among wideouts in 2025.
Olave wrapped up his season with a second-team All-Pro nod, as well, and now should be seen as a worthwhile early investment for fantasy managers in 2026.
He has reeled in over 1,000 receiving yards in three of his four years and became the franchise’s second-ever player to cross the century mark in receptions.
While Olave had a strong connection with the season’s initial starting quarterback Spencer Rattler, his production picked up even more toward the end of the year with rookie Tyler Shough.
The fifth-year wideout caught four touchdown passes over the final three agents of the season with averaging eight receptions for and 117 receiving yards per game over that trio of contests. He and Shough will now have the offseason plus training camp to continue to deepen their connection before taking the field again in September.
Olave has established himself not just as a top option for New Orleans, but for fantasy managers, as well.
