The transfer portal is officially closed, but in practice it remains open for now. With enforcement loose and the MLK holiday on Monday, new entries could still trickle in through Wednesday.
The deadline to enter the portal still passed on Friday. Any lag between now and Wednesday is simply schools processing submissions. Expect a wave of commitments, including five players still in On3’s Top 100, four of them in the Top 10, with three tied directly to the SEC.
No. 3 Princewill Umanmielen (Ole Miss)
This is a fascinating player to watch. He reportedly had already signed a deal with Ole Miss, but still entered the portal one day before it closed. Only one school has surfaced as a potential landing spot, and it’s the one Ole Miss would least want to see: LSU.
The legal side of this will be something to follow closely, but if he is allowed to enter the portal and out of his contract, he will be at LSU next season.
Ole Miss is contesting the portal entry of standout edge Princewill Umanmielen as a result of him recently signing a new contract with the Rebels, sources tell @mzenitz and me for @CBSSports.

No. 5 Jordan Seaton (Colorado)
Jordan Seaton was the No. 1 ranked offensive tackle and No. 5 player in the country coming out of high school. He spent his first two years as the starting left tackle at Colorado. Seaton is one of the best players in the portal and will command an NIL package between $3-4 million.
The assumption was that his initial short list of schools would be the heavy hitters in the NIL world. Instead, his first visit was to Mississippi State and he will head to Miami this weekend to visit the Hurricanes. Miami is the overwhelming favorite and LSU and Texas are reportedly out of the running.

No,. 7 Damon Wilson (Missouri)
There were rumors early on that Wilson would visit Alabama or LSU. Neither of those things came to fruition. He did visit Texas Tech and is scheduled to visit Miami at some point before choosing a school.
Wilson is a former five-star who began his career at Georgia before transferring to Misosuri last season. He’s been a top ten player in the portal each year he has entered.
Damon Wilson II (@Damon_wilson11) is arguably the best edge rusher still available in the transfer portal. 😤
Wilson this season at Missouri:
– 79.9 PFSN College EDGE Impact grade
– 9.0 sacks
– 55 pressures
– 18 QB hits
– 18.6% pressure rate (TruMedia) pic.twitter.com/njO0zJGrEx— PFSN College (@PFSNcollege) January 13, 2026
No. 101 Cayden Lee (Ole Miss)
Lee hasn’t officially joined the portal yet, but he is expected to, according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett. Lee is yet another Ole Miss player that could be following his former coach to LSU. He finished the season with 44 catches for 635 yards and three touchdowns. LSU has already brought in a lot of receivers in their portal class but they would absolutely make room for Lee.
