LSU has addressed its biggest needs with the best available players.
Two weeks after adding No. 1 quarterback Sam Leavitt from the transfer portal, Lane Kiffin has reeled in the top tackle in Colorado’s Jordan Seaton. The 6-foot-5, 330 lbs., Seaton visited LSU Sunday and Monday and never made his scheduled trip to Oregon.
Seaton has started 22 games over two seasons at Colorado. He was the Day 1 starter at left tackle for the Buffaloes in 2024. He’s only allowed four sacks in two years, all four coming his freshman season.
College Football News named Seaton the Big 12 Freshman of the Year in 2024. He was a freshman All-American. As a sophomore, Seaton was named second team All-Big 12 and a midseason All-American by Sporting News and Athlon before an injury cost him the final three games.
Seaton was a consensus top 10 player nationally and considered the No. 2 tackle in the country by On3 when he signed with Colorado.
Over the weekend, ESPN.com put out a list of the top players in the 2027 draft, and Seaton was named as a top three tackle prospect.
This addition fortifies a significant hole on the Tiger roster. LSU’s offensive line now looks like a strength with Braelin Moore returning and the additions of Devin Harper, Sean Thompkins and Aliou Bah.
Kiffin has assembled the best transfer class in the country in his second month on the job in Baton Rouge. Anticipation for the fall is already at a fever pitch.
