The first member of New Orleans Saints head coach Kellen Moore’s coaching staff has been hired away.
After requesting an interview with Saints assistant offensive line coach and three-time Pro Football Hall of Fame finalist Jahri Evans, the Pittsburgh Steelers are reportedly expected to add him to their staff, per Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports.
The position for which he has been hired remains to be seen, but he will reunite with head coach Mike McCarthy and offensive line coach James Campen. The move presents as a lateral one, though additional titles could be added to entice Evans away from New Orleans.
Evans, Campen and McCarthy were all a part of the 2017 Green Bay Packers.
The guard spent 11 years in New Orleans putting together a Hall of Fame career and is now expected to continue his coaching career in Pittsburgh.
