We continue our recap and grading of every SEC team’s transfer portal class. Today we talk about the Texas A&M Aggies, who once again closed with one of the top classes in the country.
Numbers to Know
Players Lost: 14
Players Gained: 18
247Sports Ranking: No. 12
On3 Ranking: No. 3
Headliner – WR Isaiah Horton (from Alabama)
Horton was one of the premiere portal gets a season ago at Alabama from Miami. He came with a 6-foot-4, 210 pound frame and a reported $700,000 price tag. He was great for Alabama finishing the season with 42 catches for 511 yards and eight touchdowns including three against Auburn. One of the biggest keys to the Aggies’ offensive success a season ago was having two go-to receivers that could spread out a defense. Having Mario Craver was great, but having Craver paired with KC Concepcion made the Aggie offense dynamic. Horton can’t return kicks and isn’t nearly as fast as Concepcion, but he will be a plug and play starter from day one who has two years of experience at blue blood schools. As the No. 7 receiver and No. 37 player overall in this year’s portal, he was the prize of the Aggies portal haul.
A lot to like about new Texas A&M WR Isaiah Horton.
At 6-4, 208 lbs, he’s a true X receiver with real route-running versatility.
He’s an outstanding redzone threat who can go up and get 50-50 balls and is the type of WR the Aggies haven’t had in a while.

Instant Impact – Wilkin Formby (from Alabama)
Formby struggled in his first season at Alabama, but saw a huge step forward in year two as a starter in 2025. Formby was one of the Tide’s highest graded offensive lineman in pass protection and showed a lot of versatility playing 364 snaps at right guard and 446 at right tackle. He still struggles in run blocking a bit, but he allowed just 12 pressures and three sacks in 504 pass pro snaps a season ago. He will be an instant impact player for Texas A&M this season after having to replace several pieces off of what was the most experienced offensive lines in college football. The Aggies closed out last season with 177 combined starts across the O-Line and Formby will be a great addition in trying to shore up some of the pieces that were lost in the offseason.
When Kalen DeBoer mentioned on Monday that there was a rep where Wilkin Formby kept a low pad level down on the goal line, I immediately knew what play he was referring to because I had already seen it and saved it.
Great in pass pro on Saturday, serviceable in the run game. 📈 pic.twitter.com/WNIPeW4Wam

Biggest Sleeper – K David Olano (from Illinois)
This feels so lame to choose a kicker, but it’s the right move. Olano was great last year making 17-of-20 kicks. He didn’t have a crazy 50 or 60 yarder under his belt as his long field goal on the season was just 44 yards. The Aggies need consistency more than anything at this position. The Texas A&M kickers in 2025 combined to go 16-of-26 and were a putrid 5-of-10 in their last four games of the season. Olano is a huge value add to this roster despite being overlooked because of his position.

Overall Grade – A-
There’s a lot to like about Texas A&M’s class, but what I loved most was the fact that they didn’t lose anyone of significance. Most Power Four teams face a foregone conclusion that they will lose more players than they will sign in the portal every year. Texas A&M not only saw limited numbers leaving, but they were one of the few teams in the SEC that brought in more players than they lost. According to 247Sports they lost 18 players in the portal, but seven of those were zero star recruits. They also only lost three players to other SEC schools.
