Greg Penn III is headed back to LSU. The former Tigers linebacker is joining Lane Kiffin’s staff as a defensive analyst, multiple sources confirm.

Another former Tiger Jermauria Rasco left the LSU staff to accept an assistant defensive line coaching position at Mississippi State. Rasco had been on the LSU staff since March 2024.
Penn played in 50 games over four seasons with 40 career starts. He finished second on the team in tackles each year from 2022-2024, capping his career with 274 tackles.
Penn wore the coveted No. 18 jersey during his senior season in 2024. The Baltimore native was not selected in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Penn played his final season in Baton Rouge under defensive coordinator and linebackers coach Blake Baker.
