As the beginning of NFL free agency gets closer, we’ll be providing breakdowns of some of the available players that the New Orleans Saints could look to pursue.
In our last breakdown, Jacksonville Jaguars running back Travis Etienne Jr. was the subject of conversation. This time, New York Jets back Breece Hall comes into focus.
A speedy back with a physical playstyle and very good pass-catching availability, Hall is already capable of being a top rusher in the league. However, he’s been tied to a floundering New York Jets team, cycling through quarterbacks while making little real progress in its rebuild.
If Hall opts for a change in scenery, landing with the Saints could be an option, allowing him to join a team on the trajectory that New York simply has not been able to capture.
Hall’s Measureables
- Height: 5-foot-11
- Weight: 217 pounds
- Arm length: 31.25 inches
- 40-yard-dash: 4.39 seconds
- Vertical: 40 inches
- Broad jump:10-foot-6
- RAS: 9.96
Hall’s 2025 Statistics
- Rushes: 243
- Rushing yards: 1,065
- Touchdown runs: 4
Entering the league at just 21-years-old in 2022, Hall is only wrapping up his age 24 season. While his rookie season was limited by injury, the former Iowa State back has appeared in at least 16 games for three consecutive seasons. During each of those years, he’s topped at least 800 rushing yards on more than 200 carries.
New Orleans didn’t have a single 500-yard rusher last year.
Hall eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark for the first time in his career in 2025, just in time to hit the open market.
The former second-round pick has topped 1,300 scrimmage yards in each of the last three years, including a 2023 year in which he added 591 receiving yards and four touchdown catches.
Alongside Alvin Kamara, Kendre Miller, Devin Neal and Audric Estime, Hall would provide an all-around playmaker that could push to be the top option at the position. He would also give the team quite the runway for its future at the position.
Hall’s market value is expected to hover around $10 million, per Spotrac’s valuation.
