Jake Olsen had second thoughts.
After reports surfaced Friday that Olsen would leave LSU to become the safeties coach with the Washington Commanders, Pete Nakos of On3 is now reporting Olsen will remain with the Tigers.

When defensive coordinator Blake Baker left Missouri for LSU, Olsen was brought along.
In 2025, AJ Haulcy earned All-American honors playing for Olsen on Baker’s defense. The Tigers secondary returns Tamarcus Cooley and Dashawn Spears at the safety spot and brought in Bouse State transfer Ty Benefield.
LSU will begin spring football practice March 24.
