The draft prep continues for the New Orleans Saints. With Pro Days, workouts and top-30 visits flowing in across the league, the Saints are getting a look at another defensive player at a potential position in need of depth and competition.
Per PFSN’s Jacob Infante, the Saints expected to hold a workout with Toledo cornerback Andre Fuller.
The 6-foot-1, 200-pound cornerback had a top-30 visit with the Seattle Seahawks but is expected to workout with the Saints, New England Patriots and Miami Dolphins.
It doesn’t sound like the Fuller pre-draft meeting will bring him to New Orleans at this time, but that could always change.
Fuller impressed at the NFL Scouting Combine running a 4.49-second 40-yard dash and adding leaps for 35 inches in their vertical and 10-foot-9 in the broad jump.
He is often noted as a strong and physical cover corner with good abilities when the ball is in the air. He also has a background as a special teamer.
Fuller tallied 49 tackles last year, 2.5 for a loss. He also nabbed his first career interception along with 11 passes defended.
He allowed only a 44.4% completion percentage when targeted throughout his career and has experience in the slot with over 300 career snaps in that role.
