Wilson becomes the third quarterback on the Saints roster, joining second year starter Tyler Shough and Spencer Rattler.
The former No. 2 overall draft pick of the Jets, Wilson spent the 2025 season with Miami where he appeared in four games, attempting just 11 passes. The Saints will be his fourth team in six seasons.
Wilson started 13 games as a rookie, tossing nine touchdowns and 11 interceptions. Across three seasons in New York, Wilson started 33 games, throwing 23 touchdowns and 25 interceptions. He was traded to Denver in 2024 but did not appear in a game.
The Saints have selected a quarterback in each of the last three NFL drafts. Shough became the highest drafted quarterback by New Orleans since Archie Manning in 1971 when the Saints selected him in the second round last year. Rattler was a fifth round pick in 2024 and Jake Haener was taken in the fourth round the year prior.
Haener signed with the Kansas City Chiefs in February.
