Cade Arrambide was named the SEC Co-Player of the Week by the league office on Monday. He launched four home runs on Sunday including an extra inning grand slam to help lift LSU to a weekend win in Knoxville against the Volunteers. He’s the first Tiger to ever hit a quartet of long balls in a single game.
For the week, Arrambide was 6-for-10 with the four home runs and eight runs driven in. He also drew three walks and scored six times.
The sophomore missed the weekend against Kentucky with an injury but returned for his best week in purple and gold.
The phenomenal week lifted Arrambide’s batting average to .295 for the season and upped his home run total to eight which trails only Jake Brown on the roster.
