Lane Kiffin put his LSU squad through their eighth workout of spring practice Thursday at the McClendon Practice Facility. The media was invited to watch five periods which included one team period and four individual group sessions.
Attendance
As expected, Sam Leavitt was absent after having pins removed from his foot as a follow up to his Lisfranc procedure he had last fall. Landen Clark continued working with the first team while Husan Longstreet repped with the twos. Emile Picarella is the third quarterback.
Deuce Geralds was absent Thursday during the media viewing portion of practice. The freshman defensive tackle has been working with the first team for all but two of the workouts the media has been invited to watch. Malik Blocton and Dominick McKinley were the first team tackles Thursday.
Whit Weeks was working on agility drills with a trainer. The senior linebacker was absent last week after observing the first week but not participating. Weeks suffered a broken ankle last season which limited him to eight games in 2025.

The second team defensive backfield includes JaKeem Jackson and Michael Turner at cornerback, CJ Jimcoily at STAR and Jhase Thomas and Faheem Delane at safety.
Five star signee Lamar Brown was again watching practice sporting his new haircut after chopping off his signature dreadlocks. Brown’s high school coach Andy Martin said Lamar cut his hair because he had to get fitted for his helmet.
