New Orleans Saints fans got some positive vibes from a Monday night podcast appearance by running back Alvin Kamara.
The versatile back joined Saints legend Terron Armstead on his podcast, The Set and discussed the Saints’ offseason acquisitions and moves while undoubtedly showcasing his intent to be with the team in 2026.
While Kamara is under contract for the upcoming season, many questions have been raised about his future in New Orleans following the detailed reworking of his contract and the later addition of explosive back Travis Etienne Jr.
Despite those curiosities, Kamara left little doubt that sees himself as part of the Saints’ plans in 2026.
The back said he “Couldn’t be happier,” about the addition. He also expressed excitement that another back got paid while also highlighting the workload split between the two as positive. “One person can’t do it by themself,” he said.
He also said that Etienne brings more explosiveness to the offense.
“He hits home runs. He did it in college, I’m excited to see what we can do together.”
It’s clear that Kamara’s side of the equation is settled. The biggest question mark that remains is how the Saints themselves see things playing out. Though it would obviously behoove them to have a backfield led by both explosive, playmaking backs.
