Along with win totals, many Sportsbooks have added projections for some key player stats around the league. FanDuel, which has the New Orleans Saints set as underdogs for the vast majority of their 17 regular season games this year, is still predicting a productive season for some of the Saints’ most important offensive players.
FanDuel currently has over/unders set for quarterback Tyler Shough, wide receiver Chris Olave and rookie wideout Jordyn Tyson.
The projections are set for what would be an exciting year of production for the Saints’ offense.
FanDuel’s 2026 Saints Player Specials
Shough passing yards: 3,600.5
Shough passing touchdowns: 18.5
Olave receiving yards: 1,050.5
Tyson receiving yards: 800.5
While Shough averaged 216.7 passing per game appearance in 2025, two of those appearances were not starts. In the quarterback’s nine starts, he averaged 250.67 passing yards per game. On a 17-game pace, that would put him around 4,261 total passing yards for a season.
Such a year would be the first time the Saints had a quarterback throw for more than 4,000 yards since 2017.
As for scoring, he threw 10 passing touchdowns over his nine starts, putting him just on track to surpass his touchdown strike projection.
Olave averaged 72.69 receiving yards in his 16 game appearances last year, putting him firmly in position to surpass his 1,050.5 over/under by nearly 200 receiving yards.
The last time New Orleans saw a season with two wideouts reeling in more than 800 receiving yards was in 2016 when they actually had three receivers cross the threshold in the regular season.
That year, wideouts Brandin Cooks (1,173), Michael Thomas (1,137) and Willie Snead (895) each surpassed the 800-yard mark. That was also the last time New Orleans saw a pair of receivers top 1,000 yards through the air.
During that same year, Hall of Fame inductee Drew Brees threw for more than 5,000 passing yards. However, Shough wouldn’t necessarily have to pass that hallowed mark for there to be a pair of impressively productive wideouts. The 2021 Baltimore Ravens saw two pass-catchers clear 1,000 receiving yards without the team reaching 4,000 passing yards in total.
