A pair of Tigers were named player of the week by the SEC on Monday.

Quarterback Sam Leavitt is the league’s Offensive Player of the Week. Defensive end Jordan Ross was the Defensive Lineman of the Week as LSU trounced Clemson 51-10.

Leavitt used his arm and his legs to churn through yards against the Clemson defense. He completed 18-of-28 for 230 yards and a touchdown. He also ran for 113 yards and a pair of scores.

Ross provided the game’s biggest highlight when he stepped in front of a Christopher Vizzina pass, intercepted it and took it back 30 yards for a pick six to send the Tiger Stadium crowd into a frenzy. The Tennessee transfer finished the game four tackles, two tackles for loss and a sack.

LSU returns to action on Saturday when Louisiana Tech visits Death Valley for a 6:30 kickoff.
