There’s nothing else Georgia needs to prove.
The Bulldogs, picked to finish ninth in the preseason SEC media poll, put another stamp on a remarkable season by sweeping through Hoover with three wins in four days to improve to 46-12.
Georgia also became the first team since Tennessee in 2022 to win both the SEC regular season title outright and the SEC Tournament in the same year, and just the fifth program to accomplish the feat in the last 30 years. It also marks the first SEC Baseball Tournament championship in Georgia history.

Georgia Bulldogs baseball slugged its way to some of the best offensive numbers in the country this season, but the pitching staff has been far better than it’s gotten credit for. On Sunday, both were on full display.
Georgia dominated Arkansas 11-1 in a wet and overcast Hoover, Alabama. It was their third win over Arkansas in four tries this season, and the Bulldogs combined for 45 runs in the process.
Georgia left no doubt, as they scored five runs in the first inning and never looked back. Seven of their nine hitters recorded at least one hit and/or run scored.
The Bulldogs pitchers scattered nine hits over seven innings, while only allowing one run. Paul Farley got the start and was fantastic, going four innings while striking out six.
Now, the Dawgs will head back to Athens with another trophy while they await their national seed. Designated hitter Jack Arcamone was 2-for-3 with four RBIs and a home run. In a fitting end to the week, his two out RBI single that put Georgia up ten runs came after an overturned ABS call.

Going into Sunday, there was a real possibility the Dawgs could climb from the No. 3 seed line all the way to the No. 1 overall seed if results broke their way. We’ll find out if that happens when the regional hosts and national seeds are revealed Sunday night.
It doesn’t look likleu, as Georgia Tech is currently at No. 2 and won the ACC Tournament earlier in the afternoon. Still, it was a remarkable four days in Hoover for Wes Johnson and his bunch. And, regardless of what national seed they receive, leaving the SEC Tournament with their first ever tournament title in program history is a pretty good way to get the postseason started.
