LSU has landed its second elite edge rusher for the 2027 class. Five-star prospect Chris Whitehead committed to the Tigers Wednesday. He joins five-star KJ Green who committed to Lane Kiffin’s squad earleir this month.
The 247 Composite ranks Whitehead as a the No. 31 prospect in the nation and the fourth best EDGE.

Whitehead (6’4, 230) is out of Chesterfield (VA) Lloyd C. Bird and is the top player in Virginia.
He chose LSU over a list of finalists that included Ohio State, Virginia Tech and South Carolina.
Whitehead is the 13th commitment for LSU’s 2027 class and ranked second behind only tight end Ahmad Hudson.
